Life Right Now

Things are going good in our neck of the woods. Jake is enjoying his job and just keeps pluggin' away.  He is the most determined man I've even known, he will stop at nothing to get the job done. I'm amazed by his ability, he inspires me to be a better person.
School for me is going good. I think I'm getting good grades so far, and I'm liking my classes. Hopefully I will be done by Fall 2011, and get to walk in Spring 2012. What a weird feeling to be completely done with school. It seems like it will never end, so knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel is an exciting, but odd feeling. What excites me the most is knowing that once I'm done with school, I can marry Jake and we can start our family. That is my biggest goal. School is my goal too, of course, but being a wife and mom is something I've looked forward to since. . . . .well, really since I've met Jake.
I see all of my peers getting married, and a bunch of them having kids; and while that's all very exciting for them, its not right for me. I feel very strongly in finishing school before I start another chapter. Personally, I wouldn't feel married if I was still a student and battling homework and papers. When I get married, I want to be able to devote my whole self to my marriage. And since (I'm hoping) kids will be coming pretty soon after we get married, I definately want to be able to give my children my all. I see parents from time to time at work, who talk about going back to school, or they're trying to finish up their degree. Once again; good for them that they are pushing themselves to finish school, but for me, I want to be completely done with that part of my life before I become a wife and mother.
So, there you have it-life is good for us. But, then again-life will always be good for me as long as I have Jake. :)

  1. I think it's fantastic you have a plan for your life. Personally, it made sense for me to get married when I did, but I really don't think it's for everyone.

I am so excited you have a blog now! A lot of the blogs I follow are people I have never met before, so YAY for friends starting them!

I agree with your ideas about marriage, for the most part. for most people it works out just fine though. good luck and congratulations!
